GhidTur. Travel since 2010.

Our story began in Chișinău. GHIDTUR SRL was registered on 5 July 2010. Travel has been at the heart of our work ever since, from choosing a destination to preparing for departure.

Some travellers arrive with an itinerary; others need help deciding where to go. We help you find your way through flights, hotels and holiday packages to plan a trip that suits you.

Our story

From our first office in Chișinău to operating holidays in Cyprus and finding trips online. Team photographs, branded materials and pictures from our travellers tell the story.

  1. 5 July 2010

    Where it all began

    GHIDTUR SRL was registered in Chișinău. This photograph shows our office in 2010: the GhidTur sign with its globe and butterfly, travel displays in the windows and the entrance where planning a trip began. We started back when ICQ was still around. On our old website, ICQ and Skype contacts appeared alongside our phone number.

  2. 2010–2011

    Television advertising

    In 2010–2011, GhidTur also advertised travel on television. Our archive preserves two versions of “In touch with the whole world”, in Russian and Romanian.

  3. 2013

    Online advertising

    In 2013, GhidTur produced advertising for the internet. Our archive preserves “Happy March 8”, a greeting for International Women’s Day from that time.

  4. 2015–2016

    Becoming a Cyprus tour operator

    In 2015–2016, GhidTur became a tour operator for Cyprus. In 2016, we presented the destination at an exhibition at Moldexpo and held a Cyprus holiday giveaway. Our archive includes photographs of the team at the stand, materials from the “Keep calm and love GhidTur — and go to Cyprus” campaign, an exhibition video and a separate video of the giveaway.

    New Year greetings online

    In 2016, we shared a New Year video online with greetings in different languages for our much-loved travellers. It remains part of the GhidTur archive.

  6. February 2016

    Keep calm and love Ghidtur — a trip to Cyprus giveaway

    For Valentine’s Day on 14 February 2016, we ran the “Keep calm and love Ghidtur” promotion with a trip to Cyprus as the prize. This video remains in our archive as a memory of that campaign.

  7. 2017

    Christian Tour Gold Medal

    In 2017, GhidTur received the Christian Tour Gold Medal award in the “Best Gold Reseller Winner” category. The certificate is a keepsake from our work with travel partners.

  8. Along the way

    A changing office and a new look

    A later photograph shows how our office changed. On our branded materials, the gold lettering, globe and butterfly gave way to a burgundy and gold mark. Document envelopes became part of preparing for a trip, travelling with our customers alongside tickets and guidebooks.
